L.A.-Based Electro-Pop Duo STASH Scores Their First Two Hollywood Music in Media Awards Nominations for 'Strip Me Bare' and 'Red Cup! Pinky Up' From Their Upcoming Debut EP

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 16, 2014) - Multi-talented DJ/Rapper Steph Prost and classically trained pop singer Amanda Maze -- collectively known as the explosive L.A. based electro-pop duo STASH ( -- are nominated for two Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA).

Their empowering anthem "Strip Me Bare," currently being shipped to clubs and DJs around the country, is nominated in the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) category, while the edgy party manifesto "Red Cup! Pinky Up" scores a nod in the Dance category.

The 5th Annual HMMAs take place at The Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, Calif. The HMMAs honor music from visual mediums, individuals who create and produce it, and both mainstream and independent musicians from around the globe.

The duo's infectious debut single -- the "lousy ex-boyfriend" inspired anthem "Tear Me Down" -- is headed to Top 40 radio later this month, and their highly-anticipated debut EP is set to drop in November.

Videos for "Tear Me Down" and "Strip Me Bare" are set to be released later this month as well.

The concept for STASH originated when Steph, heard LMFAO'S "Party Rock Anthem" and saw them become EDM sensations. A master at creating fresh mash-ups, the San Antonio native had built a great rep producing and DJing for exclusive private parties and events ranging from big film premieres to Red Bull Spring Break, the Sundance Festival and South By Southwest. But music had always been part of the multi-instrumentalist's family DNA, and she was restless to expand.

A few years later, Steph's vision, ambition and funky way with a rap sets the groove for the powerhouse vocals of classically trained pop singer Amanda Maze. With a musical partnership driven by natural chemistry and a playful, laid back friendship, they're having a blast as STASH, gearing up to unleash their high energy pop meets electro-pop (or, as they like to dub it, "poppy house") on the world. They like to say they write their (happy) songs with a guitar and a notebook and their clean but spirited lifestyle creates a perfect backdrop for their music.
