Labeling Themselves 'The Best': Professional Organizers Honor Their Industry at the 2007 Los Angeles Organizing Awards

Los Angeles Business Organization Recognizes 17 Members at Annual Awards Gala

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 8, 2007 --The Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-LA) will honor the best in their business Saturday, February 3, 2007, at the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Organizing Awards, at The Olympic Collection Conference Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Presented in part by Garage Envy, the awards gala recognizes the growing professional industry and celebrates the individual achievements of the most influential organizing experts who define standards for home and business productivity.

"Because many of our members inspire each other, we are proud to create a 'red carpet' atmosphere for those who provide products, services, and education in promoting our work," said Chris McKenry, NAPO-LA president. "It's a way for the public to see, first hand, what principles, products, and services professionals use to help clients overcome their organizing challenges."

The awards serve as a chance to commemorate organizing professionals, recognize businesses and products that enhance the success of industry professionals, and generate industry public awareness.

"You can't turn on the television, open a magazine, or read the newspaper without seeing something about the organizing industry," said founding member Ann Gambrell.

Based and membership and public voting, 14 award winners, from Best Organizing Technology to Most Innovative Organizer, will be honored. Three additional awards will also be announced. The Raising the Bar Award recognizes the board member who went above the call of duty. The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to the chapter member with an exemplary record of service. The final award is the prestigious Leading Edge Award, given in recognition to a NAPO-LA member whose actions and efforts elevate the quality or profile of professional organizers.

The gala awards evening includes a cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner, and awards ceremony, hosted by Master of Ceremonies and Los Angeles area comedian, Dave Linden.

Other entertainment for the evening will include a retrospective video celebrating the Los Angeles Chapter's achievements over the past year. National NAPO President Barry Izsak will also be a part of the festivities.
