Labour Day Weekend Festival Continues to Entertain Thanks to Federal Support

WHITECOURT, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - July 31, 2014) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada has provided the Whitecourt Party in the Park Committee with $32,600 in funding under the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program to present the 8^th edition of the Party in the Park festival.

The 2014 Party in the Park will take place on the Labour Day long weekend and will feature a mix of cultural activities and performances.

The Honourable Rob Merrifield, Member of Parliament (Yellowhead), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

• The 8^th annual Party in the Park festival will take place on August 30 and 31, 2014, at Rotary Park in Whitecourt.
