Lady Saga Is Gaga Over Shakespeare and the Pop Culture Pencils!

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 23, 2010) - Pop culture artist Brian Einersen, whose mini-comic heroine Lady Saga sold out at the Marc by Marc Jacobs stores, announces Lady Saga Issue #2. The original Lady Saga, a satire on Lady GAGA, is now a collector's item. Recently, Bluewater Productions announced their new comic series called "FAME," which also stars Lady GAGA.

Issue #2 begins with Lady Saga in a Shakespeare play. To research the now thespian Lady Saga, Einersen performed in the Shakespeare comedy "Twelfth Night," directed by Thomas G. Waites. Einersen remarked, "The play is about mistaken identity. Think 'Desperately Seeking Susan' set in Shakesperian times." Einersen played Sebastian, who called himself Roderigo, who was mistaken for Cesario, whose real name was Viola. A perfect role for Lady Saga!

Coverage of Einersen's Lady Saga has brought attention to his mixed media art: Pop Culture Pencils. His "Pop Pencils Playing Piano On Abbey Road" will be on exhibit at the National Arts Club in Gramercy Park in NYC from February 23 through 27.
