Laguna Beach Festivals to Hold Art Supplies Donation Week August 15 - 19

Donate a New Art Supply in Support of Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children's) and Receive Free Day of Admission to Festivals

LAGUNA BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 8, 2011) - Continuing its mission to educate the public and feature the arts in the community, the Passport to the Arts team of Laguna Beach, including Art-A-Fair, Festival of Arts, Sawdust Art Festival and the Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau, will hold its second annual Art Supplies Donation Week, August 15 - 19, made possible by a grant awarded by Bank of America. The Passport team, in partnership with Bank of America, has selected Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children's) as the beneficiary of the art donations. Visitors who donate a new, unopened art supply valued at $5 or more will receive free admission that day to all three Festivals.

Building on the success of last year's inaugural Art Supplies Donation Days, made possible by Bank of America's 2010 grant, the program has been expanded from two days to five days. The Passport team and Bank of America reviewed a variety of beneficiaries, ultimately deciding that children in a curative environment such as CHOC would be compelling recipients. As they regain their health, the young patients' spirits will be lifted and creativity encouraged by the donated art supplies.

Upon turning in their donated art supply, visitors will receive an embossed wristband that will admit them free of charge that day to all three Festivals. Donations must be unopened and may include such items as watercolor sets, watercolor, drawing or sketch pads, markers, colored pencils, art supplies boxes, and the like. They may be dropped off at any of the Festivals' box offices.

The three Festivals and the Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau offer the triple value Passport to the Arts. For just $19, Passport holders receive unlimited admission to all three Festivals through August 31, 2011. Special discounts from selected retailers, merchants, hotels, and restaurants throughout Laguna Beach are also available to Passport holders. The 2011 Passport may be purchased online at www.LagunaBeachPassport.com, at each Festival's box office or by calling 949.497.0521. One time, all-day free parking is also included. The Passport does not include admission to the Pageant of the Masters.
