SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwired - Sep 16, 2013) - Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- The race to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the U.S. got a third contestant last month after the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) (Washington, D.C.) conditionally approved the application to export LNG from the proposed Lake Charles Grassroot LNG Liquefaction Plant to nations that do not have a free-trade agreement (FTA) with the U.S. Last week, subsequent to the Lake Charles export approval, the Dominion Cove Point LNG project near Lubsy, Maryland, received approval from DoE to export to countries without an FTA with the U.S.
