Lake Shore Schedules Completion of the Bell Creek Acquisition

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 5, 2007) - Lake Shore Gold Corp. (TSX:LSG) ("Lake Shore" or "the Company") announces that the purchase agreement with respect to the acquisition of the Bell Creek mine and mill in Timmins, Ontario from Goldcorp Canada Ltd. and Kinross Gold Corporation has been amended to provide for a closing date on or before December 14, 2007.

Following completion of the acquisition, Lake Shore will initiate a full evaluation and assessment of the Bell Creek mine and mill in order to develop a refurbishing plan for the mill and dewatering and underground rehabilitation program for the mine. This program is expected to take nine to twelve months to complete.
