Lakeland Mills Premium Rustic Furniture Gains National Exposure With Website Upgrades and Nod From Country Living

EDMORE, MI--(Marketwire - Jul 11, 2011) - Lakeland Mills wood furniture has found a home in the national spotlight. More than 80 years of fashioning rustic furniture like log beds and other charming indoor country décor and outdoor furniture has earned the company recognition with help from WebProvise, Inc., and Country Living magazine.

Founded in 1923, the company was purchased and repurposed as an eco-friendly rustic décor and log cabin furniture manufacturer by a trio of long-term employees in 1991. A strategic move to a 113,000 sq. ft. plant and a renewed sense of direction spurred further growth.

Earlier this year, Lakeland Mills teamed with internet marketing company WebProvise, Inc., to revamp its website design and promote the upscale nature of its log furniture which includes lodge décor, cabin décor, log swings and more. In June 2011, Country Living featured a white-cedar log bunk bed made by Lakeland Mills in its "Shop Guide." "The new site design has excited our employees and enhanced our ability to provide customers with a unique, interactive experience which shows them exactly what we're capable of," says Calvin Hunt, a Lakeland Mills co-owner.

"WebProvise used the latest in web design technology to give the look it deserves. The exposure we've gained appearing in Country Living and elsewhere is also exciting for our mill, located in our nation's Heartland -- in the heart of Michigan."

"Showcasing our team's talent alongside our premium line of rustic décor pieces breathes new life into our operation. Country furniture is a niche market. It's great to now have individuals and lodge owners from Andover to Seattle placing orders with our retailers for all the different types of log furniture built by our highly skilled craftsmen."

"The indoor and outdoor contemporary rustic furniture Lakeland Mills builds is clean and simple," says Tammy Clayton, director of content services at WebProvise. "The company places high emphasis on high quality craftsmanship and environmentally-friendly practices. It's also the only manufacturer in the U.S. building Contoured Comfort seats into its outdoor products."

"Our website designs are different from most -- highly unique and graphically beautiful. We knew straight away that a cleaner, simpler and more engaging site design would benefit Lakeland Mills. I'm happy we delivered a product that highlights the company's most treasured assets -- its products, employees and history of excellence."

Lakeland Mills log furniture is available for purchase at major retailers, like Walmart and Home Depot, in the 48 contiguous U.S. states. It is also available online at JHE's Log Furniture Place, Amazon and other select merchants. To learn more about their rustic furniture, visit For information on exciting website design, visit
