Landmark Acquires Yukon Uranium Property

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 6, 2006) - Landmark Minerals (TSX VENTURE:LML) has acquired, by staking, a 100% interest in 12 mineral claims covering 250 hectares in southern Yukon Territory.

The property covers the source area of stream sediment samples carrying anomalous uranium values first identified by the Geological Survey of Canada in the 1970's. The ground was explored with additional stream sediment and soil sampling in 1979 which confirmed the GSC results, but was abandoned in 1980 due to depressed uranium prices without any additional follow-up work. Stream sediment samples have reportedly returned from 80 ppm up to 1,050 ppm (0.1%) U3O8 draining a till-covered area of a differentiated granitoid batholith.

"We are pleased to add this Yukon prospect to our portfolio of uranium properties in Canada, where we have secure mineral title and financial exploration incentives," said Harmen Keyser, President of Landmark. "This property was selected because of the favorable geology, unusually high uranium concentrations in stream sediments, and high gamma radiation encountered during our field evaluation. The source of the high uranium values in stream sediments will be investigated further in 2007."

Landmark Minerals is a junior uranium exploration company based in Vancouver, Canada with a 100% interest, or the right to earn a 100% interest, in nine properties in Quebec, Newfoundland, Northwest Territories, and Yukon, Canada. Landmark is continuing to cooperate with Sahara Resources Inc. to restore six prospecting permits in Algeria, and is seeking additional uranium exploration opportunities in jurisdictions offering secure mineral title.
