Landmark Minerals Inc.: Airborne Geophysical Survey Completed on Quebec Uranium Properties

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 1, 2006) - Landmark Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:LML) is pleased to announce that a 4,920 line kilometer airborne geophysical survey covering its three 100% owned uranium properties in the Rupert River area in Quebec has been completed.

The survey was performed in ideal late-summer, dry weather conditions by Prospectair Inc. of Gatineau, Quebec using a helicopter equipped with gamma ray spectrometric and magnetic sensing instruments. A preliminary review of the data shows numerous radiometric and magnetic anomalies, and additional ground has been staked. Thorough processing and interpretation by an independent geophysicist is now underway. The new geophysical data will be integrated with existing geochemical and geological data to prioritize exploration targets for 2007.

The Rupert River properties are underlain by Proterozoic to Archean crystalline rocks including paragneiss, migmatite, leucogranite, and pegmatite considered prospective for uranium mineralization. The properties have little previous exploration history and cover a combination of anomalous regional lake sediment geochemistry, favourable lithologies, and deep-seated regional faults. The geological setting is not unlike the Rossing, Namibia and Bancroft, Ontario uranium deposits.

"With the spot price of uranium hitting an all-time high of US$60/pound U3O8 this week, we are pleased that we were able to acquire these properties in such a favorable area, and complete the airborne survey before winter conditions set in," said Harmen Keyser, President of Landmark. "We will now have time to review a large volume of exploration data and select follow-up targets for next summer, while we continue to aggressively search for new acquisitions."

The technical accuracy of this news release has been verified by Roger Laine, Ph.D., P.Geo., Landmark's Vice President of Exploration and a qualified person in accordance with NI 43-101.

Landmark Minerals is a junior uranium exploration company based in Vancouver, Canada with properties in Quebec, Newfoundland and Northwest Territories, Canada. Landmark continues to cooperate with Sahara Resources Inc. to lawfully restore six prospecting permits in Algeria, and is seeking additional uranium exploration opportunities in jurisdictions offering secure mineral title.
