Landmark Unveils Fresh New Menu and Artful Renovations

New Owners Transform Restaurant to Elevate Customer Expectations of Upscale OC Dining

CORONA DEL MAR, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 8, 2012) - Landmark, a fixture in the Corona Del Mar fine-dining and nightlife scene, announces new ownership that brings an updated menu, fresh new restaurant design and enhanced service offerings to its sophisticated Orange County patrons.

Landmark now boasts a strategic blend of modern and classic elements throughout all features of the restaurant and nightclub -- creating an unexpected and vibrant experience that is reflective of the Southern California community it serves. New owners, Kelly and Scott Polston, purchased Landmark this year and immediately set out to enhance the customer experience, from the hiring of new Executive Chef Travis Flood to educating the wait staff on food preparation and ingredient sourcing as well as perfect wine, beer and craft cocktail pairings. The changes also extend to the design of the restaurant, which now houses 25 pieces of original art in addition to a brighter, lighter aesthetic that can be found throughout the property.

"We're creating a chef-centric dining experience -- where the food is the centerpiece," says Kelly Polston, co-owner of Landmark. "Our vision was to redesign the restaurant's surroundings in such a way that they enhance every bite and every moment of the meal. We want to provide the kind of food and ambience diners expect from the best restaurants in San Francisco while preserving the touches that celebrate the best of the Orange County lifestyle."

Highlights from Landmark's bright new menu include fresh oysters with lemon granita and a tomato horseradish emulsion; lobster croquettes with grits, fennel, shallots and lavender honey; hand-crafted pastas; Pacific yellowtail jack with cauliflower gnocchi; and Sonoma lamb loin.

Flood brings experience in three-Michelin-star restaurants and expertise he amassed working under such renowned chefs as Wolfgang Puck and Laurent Gras, whom he credits as his mentor. Flood is adamant that farms and seasons should determine a restaurant's offerings, and his new menus feature seasonal, local ingredients -- which he often handpicks, prepares and presents on dinnerware created specifically for Landmark by Tustin based potter, Kevin Myers.

"We're very conscious of every detail regarding the customer experience," says Scott Polston, co-owner of Landmark. "The upgrades allow our customers to enjoy better meals and elegant, comfortable surroundings whether they're in the dining room, relaxing on the patio or listening to live music in the lounge."

Landmark is open every day for dinner and happy hour at 4 p.m., and it remains an active nightspot, with the bar and lounge opening for music, dancing and bottle service with an accompanying late-night menu beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday - Saturday. Located at 3520 E. Coast Highway in Corona Del Mar, Landmark is open daily and available for special events. Reservations are recommended but not required.
