LANE Deepens Integrated Communications Expertise, Strengthens Management Bench With New Hires and Promotions

NEW YORK, NY and PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Jun 9, 2015) - LANE, a national, independent public relations firm, has hired four individuals and promoted five current staff members. As LANE celebrates its 25th anniversary this month, the new hires in the agency's Portland and New York offices will augment LANE's integrated marketing communications capabilities, including public relations and digital strategy, while the promotions will strengthen the management bench and allow team members to assume greater responsibilities.

LANE has hired Shane Stafford as digital strategist, Erin Tassey Krug as account director, Jason Ginenthal as senior account executive and Samantha Chulick as account executive. Amber Roberts has been promoted to senior vice president; Lisa Heathman, Shannon Brewer Riggs and Jill Williams to vice president; and Rachael Ka'apu to senior account executive. These staffing enhancements position LANE for continued success and will drive the agency's momentum and increase its capacity for future growth.

"As we celebrate the agency's 25th anniversary," said Wendy Lane Stevens, founder and president of LANE, "we are pleased to recognize individuals who have made a significant impact on the agency's growth during the past several years. We're also thrilled to announce we've hired key team members on both coasts, each to serve a particular role that will strengthen LANE's overall ability to develop distinguished integrated strategies that incorporate a cross-leveraged mix of content, social, digital, experiential and PR tactics. Our newest team members' creativity, tenacity and insights coupled with our cadre of talent, positions LANE well to deliver exceptional service and outcomes to our clients."

In recognition of her leadership within the agency, Amber Roberts has been promoted to senior vice president. Roberts, who has been with LANE for nearly eight years, has been influential in building the agency's national client portfolio and integrated services capabilities while directing the agency's New York City office and its financial services practice.

Lisa Heathman, who joined LANE in 2014 as managing director and has more than 20 years of experience in the development of integrated marketing communications campaigns for business-to-business and consumer accounts, has been promoted to vice president. Shannon Brewer Riggs, a nine-year LANE veteran who has led award-winning campaigns at LANE and was named PRWeek's Young PR Professional of the Year in 2009, has also been promoted to vice president.

In her new role as vice president, Jill Williams, who has been a member of LANE's staff since 2008, will work with senior leadership to drive business development efforts targeting public and private companies in the consumer/lifestyle, financial services and technology industries. Additionally, Rachel Ka'apu's promotion to senior account executive allows her greater responsibility around campaign management, furthering her ability to drive success for clients, including the Heathman Restaurant, Trailblazer Foods and the San Francisco Wine Exchange.

Joining LANE's Portland office, Shane Stafford, who previously managed social media, email marketing, search engine optimization, online advertising and other tactics for Act-On Software and LPKF Laser & Electronics, brings a deep understanding of digital and social media strategy and execution. Samantha Chulick, who was most recently the drinks producer at Bon Appétit's food and beverage festival, Feast Portland, will strengthen the agency's current public relations capabilities for clients across the food and beverage, hospitality and tourism, and consumer/lifestyle industries.

LANE has also bolstered its financial services team with the addition of two industry experts, Erin Tassey Krug and Jason Ginenthal. Now based in Portland, Tassey Krug spent 10 years at Weber Shandwick in Washington, D.C., as vice president, before accepting a brand communications management position at Kaiser Permanente in Portland. Tassey Krug also has previously earned PR Week's Public Sector Campaign of the Year award for a financial literacy consumer awareness campaign. Ginenthal, an experienced New York-based media specialist in the financial services sector, was formerly at Edelman and MWWPR, where his account work included Citigroup, Charles Schwab, Swiss Re and Deloitte.
