"With the demand for affordable housing outpacing the supply in Brantford, today's investment in the construction of 132 affordable rental units addresses an urgent local need. It's part of the largest infrastructure investment in Ontario's history -- more than $130 billion over 10 years - which is supported by a number of initiatives. Many families will now have stable, affordable homes to live in. Congratulations to all the partners for making this happen."

The Honourable Dave Levac, Member of Provincial Parliament for Brant

"Lanewood Development Corporation is enormously pleased to work in partnership with government at all levels to alleviate two of Brantford's most serious long-term problems: the existence of brownfields in the immediate vicinity of the Grand River, and the critical shortage of affordable housing. Public-private partnerships such as this provide an avenue for more cost effective and more equitable solutions to community problems than either sector can deliver alone.
