LaPolla Offers Hurricane Ike Rebuilding Assistance

Offers Free Roof Inspections and Repair/Reroof Estimates

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - September 18, 2008) - LaPolla Industries, Inc. (OTCBB: LPAD) ("LaPolla"), a leading Houston-based manufacturer and supplier of roof coatings and energy efficient spray polyurethane foam insulation systems for commercial or industrial roofing, as well as wall, attic, and foundation applications, has brought together their network of Approved Applicators to provide free roof inspections and repair or reroof estimates utilizing LaPolla's spray polyurethane foam technology for all commercial or industrial building owners that experienced destruction from the hurricane force winds.

"One of the fundamental components of securing a commercial or industrial building after a high wind event, such as Hurricane Ike that ripped through Houston on Saturday, September 13, 2008, is an inspection of the roofing system," stated Douglas J. Kramer, President and CEO of LaPolla Industries, Inc. "We were fortunate that our Houston manufacturing facility did not sustain any damage and that we remain fully operational. It is important that we help our neighbors secure their facilities and rebuild as quickly as possible to keep Houston's economy moving forward. As a community, we need to ensure that each building provides a stable and safe environment for the millions of residents that populate the commercial and industrial buildings in the metropolitan area," Mr. Kramer continued.

The LaPolla Approved Applicator network task force will be inspecting roofs, writing replacement, reroof and repair estimates, and providing technical expertise to insurance company claim representatives. LaPolla is encouraging all building owners, design professionals, facility managers and maintenance superintendents to schedule a free roof inspection by contracting 888-4-LAPOLLA or sending an email request to info@lapolla.com.

"We have the team and manpower available to respond to roof inspection requests, if not the same day, within 24 hours of contacting LaPolla," Mr. Kramer concluded.

Wind uplift resistance is the primary cause of wind damage. A partial vacuum is formed by wind blowing over the edge of the roof. Nature tries to counteract the low-pressure area by bringing in air from a higher pressure area, usually from inside the building. This air pushes up on the bottom side of the roof assembly, lifting and dropping the roof. Wind-uplift tests performed by third party agencies have proven that polyurethane foam significantly enhances the wind-uplift resistance. Because polyurethane foam roofs are more resistant to "blow off" during periods of high winds, structures with polyurethane foam roofs can be repaired and put back into service more rapidly than buildings with conventional roofing systems.
