Largest Privately Held Global Ad Network Appoints Chief Technology Officer David Mariani

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - June 5, 2007) - BlueLithium announced today that, due to strong success in its strategy of using consumer data, sophisticated analytics and advanced ad targeting to create value for both publishers and marketers, it has hired online marketing veteran David Mariani to the position of chief technology officer. Mr. Mariani is a visionary with 20 years of experience in building data-driven technology organizations, and is one of the foremost practitioners in Silicon Valley when it comes to leveraging, protecting and monetizing user data.

Less than three years old, BlueLithium has become one of the top five U.S. ad networks according to ComScore Media Metrix, the number two ad network in the U.K. after only one year of operations there, and the largest privately held global ad network overall. Ad networks are booming as marketers look beyond search for the next big driver of online business. As one of targeted "next generation" ad networks capable of delivering results comparable to search marketing for graphical ad inventory, BlueLithium has found itself in the center of this boom. Mr. Mariani has been brought in to drive the global technology and data strategy of the company and oversee product engineering and design. He will report to Scott Kauffman, president and COO.

"As the leading data driven performance marketing company we're already a power player," said Mr. Kauffman. "Having a world class CTO like Dave as part of the team will help us achieve the next level of growth."

Jay Webster, Blue Lithium's previous CTO, assumed responsibility for the Performance Network in January of this year as General Manager. The increasing demand for cost-effective lead generation and direct customer acquisition has Mr. Webster moving full time into the GM role. Jay has a background in performance marketing which includes a role as vice president of engineering for Adteractive, a leading company in the space.

Mr. Mariani founded and was CTO of MineShare, a leading customer marketing ASP. He raised $21 million for the company through three rounds of financing, and ultimately led its sale to Digital Impact for $34 million. When Digital Impact was acquired by Acxiom in May 2005, David became CTO of Acxiom Digital and has held that role since. He received his B.A. in Economics and Business from UCLA.

"I'm thrilled to join a rising star like BlueLithium in a very hot space," said Mariani. "I'm excited to help BlueLithium continue on its growth path by developing technology strategies and solutions that will have real impact for the company and the industry as a whole."
