Miller joined North Dallas Bank in early 1982 as a mail clerk and has held various positions within the company since that time, most recently serving as president of the Dallas Banking Center. Miller holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Abilene Christian University. He serves on the board of directors for the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce and participates in a variety of community and volunteer projects through Watermark Community Church. For five years, he has been recognized as a Pink Honor Roll top fundraiser with Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. He is a native of Garland and currently resides in Dallas.
