Las Vegas Chiropractor Supports Boys & Girls Clubs of Henderson

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Oct 27, 2011) - Dr. Benjamin Lurie, a Las Vegas chiropractor and owner of The Neck and Back Clinics, is a local businessman who gives back to the community through his support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Henderson. The Boys & Girls Clubs organization operates many area facilities that give youths hope for a better future. The Clubs provide daily activities for children, ages 5-18, so they have a safe and supportive place to go before and after school. In addition to sports and games, the Clubs offer arts and crafts, educational activities and field trips to keep children engaged and give them wider perspectives on life's possibilities.

Dr. Lurie became a member of the Clubs' Board of Directors because he feels their goals align closely with those of the practice. Both are committed to nurturing healthy minds and bodies, and provide the resources and support necessary to achieve those goals.

The Neck and Back Clinics recently sponsored general prizes for over 125 kids at the 2011 Fun Day for Kids where boys and girls were paired with adult volunteers from the community and participated in a variety of activities. Many of the children who participated are from single parent homes, so the one-on-one interaction was very meaningful to them. In addition, over $50,000 was raised to support the ongoing activities of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

Commenting on his involvement Dr. Lurie said, "As a chiropractor, my mission is to help people feel better and live long and healthy lives. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. I think the two purposes are mutually compatible in helping to make our community a great place to live and work."

The Neck and Back Clinics have six locations that focus on providing Las Vegas physical therapy and chiropractic care. The chiropractor and his team of medical professionals offer pain management and rehabilitation services without invasive surgery or prescription drugs. The chiropractic physician treats many work-related and personal injuries, and provides relief for those suffering from back pain, neck pain, headache pain, sciatica and numbness. Other healing services are provided by a physical therapist and massage therapist.

Dr. Lurie also serves on the committee for the upcoming Natalie Gulbis Golf Classic. For the second year, The Neck and Back Clinics will be the lunch sponsor at the fundraising event to be held Monday, December 12, at The Golf Club at SouthShore, 100 Strada Di Circolo in Henderson.

Dr. Lurie has served the wellness needs of local patients for over ten years. He graduated from Bishop Gorman High School and Southern Utah University, and is a member of the Nevada Chiropractic Association and other professional organizations.
