Las Vegas Startup Tracky Raises $1 Million for Open Social Collaboration Platform

Cloud-Based Suite of Communication & Organizational Tools Debuts in Private Beta at South by Southwest

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Mar 9, 2012) - Tracky, a new, open, social collaboration platform, today announced it has raised $1 million in angel funding. Tracky has been in development for a little more than a year and is uniquely positioned to provide social collaboration, people and project discovery, secure online chat, group task management, and quick access to cloud-based documents.

Tracky helps people and companies organize all of their to-dos, work projects and social connections in a single, easy-to-use dashboard -- from planning a wedding to launching an international brand. The beta version of the platform will be demonstrated at South by Southwest on Saturday, March 10, during the Startup Debut media showcase at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, 320 E. 2nd St., Austin, Texas.

"We are thrilled that this funding enables us to open our revolutionary platform to select individuals for beta use and testing," said David Gosse, CEO and founder. "Tracky is focused on helping users bridge the gap between their personal and professional lives, simplify the process of getting things done and collaborate with anyone, anywhere."

Based in Las Vegas, Nev., Tracky has compiled the most popular types of productivity and collaboration tools into one platform, including:

  • To-do lists
  • Shared calendars
  • Live chat
  • Task management
  • Social accountability
  • Cloud-based file sharing
  • Community building

Going beyond typical productivity systems and the limited collaboration abilities of social networks, Tracky helps you find people and groups that you want to collaborate with and immediately start planning projects with them. Tracky is an ideal, all-in-one platform for individuals trying to organize their busy lives, entrepreneurs building businesses and managing teams, and large organizations strategizing and communicating across the globe.

Advisory board members include Sarah Evans, a social media correspondent featured in Vanity Fair, Forbes and Entrepreneur; Alex Hunter, company incubator, angel investor and branding expert; and Kevin Fong, who has a 23-year-long track record with early-stage companies and is special advisor with GSR Ventures.
