Las Vegas Veterinarian Launches New Website for Pet Owners

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Feb 26, 2012) - St. Francis Animal Hospital in Las Vegas announced that the practice has launched a new website to better serve pet owners and their pets. The newly designed site features information on pet wellness care, a veterinary topics library, and a Vetopedia. The website is designed to answer frequently asked questions about caring for dogs and cats by serving as a trusted, reliable source for veterinary information.

Las Vegas veterinarian Dr. David Drake announced the launch of a new website to serve pet owners. The site,, was created specifically to answer questions that pet owners may have about pet wellness care, such as pet vaccinations.

"We launched our new website to better serve pet owners, providing a reliable information source that owners can trust to accurately answer their questions," said Dr. Drake.

The website features a "Veterinary Topics" library, which includes information on everything from basic pet care to advanced surgical procedures. The library also includes a veterinary video newsroom with short videos on health topics such as pet dental care and pet vaccinations.

"Many pet owners are unsure of the right way to brush a pet's teeth or at what age their puppies and kittens need pet vaccinations," said Dr. Drake. "The answers to these common questions can all be found in the wellness care library. Even better, the videos demonstrate proper at-home care techniques, including teeth brushing, so pet owners can feel confident that they are providing the care their pets need."

The new website also features a veterinary blog where Dr. Drake and the animal hospital staff frequently post veterinary news updates. From new veterinary information to at-home care tips, the blog serves as a resource for pet owners who wish to stay up-to-date on animal care. Pet owners may also post question for Dr. Drake on the website or specific care topics that they would like Dr. Drake and his team to address.

"Our blog will focus primarily on wellness care, as our goal is to keep pets healthy through prevention," said Dr. Drake. "However, I am open to discussing any veterinary care topic, and I encourage pet owners to post their questions for me on the blog."

In addition to dogs, cats, puppies and kittens, the animal hospital also provides care for pocket pets and some exotic pets, including turtles. Pet care information is available on the website for all these different animals. "While the internet is filled with tips for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens, it can be extremely difficult to find reliable information on exotic pet care and pocket pets," said Dr. Drake. "Since we provide care for a variety of companion animals, we specifically designed our website to include information on all different types of pets. It's a great resource for every pet owner!"

Pet owners may use the website's online appointment request form to schedule a visit with the Las Vegas veterinarian.
