Lasalle Causeway: Overnight Lane Closures/Intermittent Delays

KINGSTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 11, 2014) - Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists that work is scheduled on the LaSalle Causeway on April 14 to 15.

The work will require overnight lane closures between 10:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14 and 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15. Flag holders will direct traffic to cross the bridge one direction at a time.

On Tuesday, April 15, a series of test lifts are scheduled between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. causing intermittent delays of up to 5 minutes at a time.

Emergency vehicles and pedestrians will not be affected by this work. These closures are necessary to complete routine annual maintenance and testing.

The schedule may change due to inclement weather or logistical requirements. Updated notices will be issued as required.

Safety is a top priority for PWGSC and we are committed to ensuring the continued integrity of the bridges we manage. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank everyone for their understanding.
