MERCERVILLE, NJ--(Marketwire - Sep 24, 2012) - Laser Energetics, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: LNGT) today announced that it will exhibit at the AUSA Annual Meeting and Exposition being held in Washington, D.C. from October 22 - 24. LEI will be featured in the CACI Booth #2241 in the Main Exhibit Room on the Lower Level. The Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting and Exposition is the world's premiere Land Warfare Exposition and the Army's largest Professional Development Forum with over 35,000 attendees. Laser Energetics recently entered into a strategic teaming agreement with CACI International, Inc. (NYSE: CACI) to provide its Dazer Laser® - Light Fighting Technologies Product Line of laser optical distracters to the US Department of Defense and other federal government organizations back in August of 2012. Laser Energetics has developed the safest and most effective Optical Distracters in the world today which temporarily impairs the vision of adversaries providing a force multiplier for U.S. Military, Homeland Security, and Law Enforcement personnel. The market for such non-lethal weapons is forecasted to grow significantly as governments worldwide work to counter asymmetric warfare threats and protect citizens with non-lethal technology.
The Dazer Laser® Product Line consists of hand-held and weapons-mounted models that have advanced operational and safety features which are unique in the industry. The products offer desirable stand-off distances for operators when required, are eye-safe for very close combat and crowd control scenarios, are combat effective at extended long ranges, and have low weight and effective power characteristics that meet and exceed current mission capability requirements from 1-2400 meters (model dependent). CACI, Inc. will provide key logistics support for the products including deployment planning, installation and training, warranty management and sparing, field service representatives, and help desk services. The company will leverage its significant experience and deep understanding of US Military and Homeland Security missions, along with Laser Energetics' cutting-edge technologies, to offer customized solutions that enhance client missions and technical capabilities.
"Teaming with CACI at AUSA furthers our strategic position to increase sales and further penetrate the federal market space," stated Robert D. Battis, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Laser Energetics. "Laser Energetics and CACI have been successfully educating the world that the Dazer Laser® is the only Optical Distractor that can be operated both safely and, just as importantly, effectively at all ranges from 1-2400 meters (model dependent). Together, we know our Warfighters will be better off with the Dazer Laser® because its broader range of effectiveness will keep our Warfighters alive and that is the main goal of Laser Energetics and CACI." In addition, Laser Energetics and CACI will be focused on meeting with key personnel involved in the five Military Contracts we are part of with the US Army, US Marines, US Navy, and JNLWD. We thank you for your support and please look for photographs of the show on our website after the conclusion of the AUSA Annual Meeting & Expo.
