Lasercut, Inc. Releases Its Maintenance-Free Laser Marking System

BRANFORD, CT -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 10, 2006 -- Lasercut, Inc. of Branford, Ct. with its partners (El.En. Group and Lasit) releases its newest 20 watt (Pulsed) maintenance-free air-cooled, fiber laser marking system for marking metals and plastics with reliability exceeding 100,000 hours. The marking system, available as an OEM component or a Class One Enclosed turnkey system, provides reduced operating costs and high throughput. It is compact, high speed, modular, extremely flexible and is available with a full range of ancillary equipment such as XY tables, rotary attachments, rotary indexers, automatic Z axis, and on the fly marking capability, and conveyors. Instant alignment with the use of a joystick saves time and multiple steps when focusing.

This fiber laser system allows for easy integration for in-line production by interfacing to an existing PLC system. Communication is by RS232 or TCP/IP with digital signals (Start-stop, Fault, Marking in Progress as well as up to 24 inputs for part program selection and up to 24 relays output for easy integration in automation systems). The system comes complete with a galvo scan head, Fly Air software, and a computer.

The powerful FlyCad® Software with Standard Windows user interface allows for "open" integration into a more complex system. The operator can set up and recall jobs in no time increasing productivity significantly. Fly X® software supports both vector and raster graphic formats and grayscale imaging. The software provides multiple import filters which include popular formats such as .DXF, .PLT, .BMP, and .PDF. The barcode function provides multiple formats including UPC and 2 D Data Matrix, and UID for traceability, identification, serialization, and circumferential markings.

The cable has a rugged stainless steel connection between the laser and the diode module, which provides for increased protection of the fiber and cables which eliminates the risk of accidental breakage of the fiber and electromagnetic interferences.

High speed and accuracy makes the fiber laser marking system the ideal laser for engraving and marking coated and uncoated materials such as metals made of brass, titanium, stainless steel, chrome, carbide, nickel, aluminum, plastics, graphite, marble, granite, rubber, and ceramics.
