600,000 sq. ft. in three halls -- the new signposting concept of the dmexco dmexco 2013 will help the guests maintain a good overview! So that the visitors can reach their next meeting points over the whole grounds as quickly as possible, the dmexco has developed a colour coordinated route concept, which begins at the North Entrance and systematically leads to the central contact points of the dmexco 2013. From the expo (turquoise), to the conference (pink), through to the catering areas (green) and the Agency Lounge (orange): Extensive signposts and clearly marked routes in the respective colours are found on-site in all areas of the dmexco as well as on the hall plan, leading interested visitors automatically to the desired dmexco hotspot via the shortest route.

The official hall plan of the dmexco 2013 offers a very good overview of the new hall layout -- at or directly in the official dmexco 13 App: This optimised app with its new, intuitive design will provide the trade visitors and exhibitors with a refined map functionality for an optimal overview of all three halls and the complete exhibitor directory and for the first time a complete overview of the conference programme. The app also contains many further practical services in German and English, which will additionally simplify the dmexco visit, including among other things all important dmexco data, i.e. how to get there, the check-ins, Party details, the personal dmexco organiser as well as the established networking tool for the fast exchange of contact details from app to app via QR code, which can be conveniently exported directly after the expo. In this way, the visitors and exhibitors can use their time right up to the last minute of the second day of the dmexco with its extended opening hours until 6.30 pm much more efficiently. Talking about mobile dmexco: Where else will be posted, twittered and commented more than at the dmexco 2013? In order to keep an eye on all these social media activities to do with #dmexco, the dmexco partners have come up with something special: Two exciting social media campaigns at, which stand for a new generation of data visualization. Initiated by MediaCom and Brandwatch, the "Twitter-Image Board" will present all text messages and photos on the dmexco 2013. All of the tweets with the respective hashtags, particularly those with #dmexcopics, will be dynamically visualised here, thus determining the top themes (Topic Cloud) of the users in real-time. pilot's "Social Media Hub" will also provide a further data visualization: This hub has set itself the goal of measuring the entire social buzz on Twitter, Instagram and Foursquare in three boxes and representing the results graphically -- needless to say in real- time.

In addition to these innovative social media inspirations, we are going to experience the full power of start-ups at the dmexco 2013 this year: Visionary founders and entrepreneurs like GumGum, Kiip, Unbound, Appssavvy, Unruly, Wywy and Outbrain will be presenting their companies and ideas at the dmexco, i.e. in the "Brandh@ck: The Next Big Thing for our Industry" Session (18.9., 5.20 pm, Congress Hall), where the American leading publication, Ad Age, will present a selection of the most promising start-ups of the USA. The Federal Association of the Digital Industry (BVDW) e.V. will already be focusing on young companies on the eve of the dmexco: The BVDW is launching their "Start-up Media Forum" ( on September 17, 2013 as the debut event of the founder initiative BOOST that is celebrating its premiere at the dmexco. Comprising of numerous lectures and discussion panels, in the course of this format start-ups will receive active support from renowned experts such as Fabian Heilemann (Heilemann und Company), Matthias Dang (IP Germany), Matthias Ehrlich (BVDW) and Jörg Binnenbrücker (Capnamic Ventures) on how to successfully scale their business models through online marketing.
