Latin American Broadband Provider Increases Revenue With Nominum

N2 Reach Fuels Bandwidth Upgrades With Personalized Subscriber Experience

REDWOOD CITY, CA and SAO PAULO, BRAZIL--(Marketwired - Oct 27, 2015) - Nominum, the pioneer and innovator of DNS technologies, announced today that Latin American satellite broadband service provider Media Networks ("MediaNet") has seen an increase in revenue from subscriber bandwidth upgrades from use of its DNS-powered N2 Platform.

MediaNet delivers high-speed Internet connectivity to more than 200,000 subscribers in Chile, Brazil and Colombia. The company deployed Nominum's N2 Reach in-browser messaging solution to address the ongoing user frustration resulting when subscribers reach their monthly bandwidth limits.

Personalized messages with offers generated by N2 Reach resulted in 16% of subscribers increasing bandwidth, which yielded an additional $200K in incremental revenue. This is a better response rate than traditional communications approaches like emails, texts and phone calls.

"When our Chilean customers reach their bandwidth limit, we can offer personalized options to increase their service, thanks to N2 Reach from Nominum. This solution is very useful to satisfying our customers, and allows us to lower churn and sell more bandwidth," said Jose Gamarra, consultant from MediaNet. "The N2 Reach offers have gotten an incredible ROI, with return on the investment during the first year."

Nominum's DNS-powered N2 Platform integrates with their industry-leading Vantio DNS software to provide a full suite of subscriber-centric applications, including:

  • N2 Threat Avert - automatically protects networks and subscribers from DDoS and malware
  • N2 Engage - malware protection, parental controls, content compliance
  • N2 Reach - in-browser messaging for greater engagement and response rates
  • N2 Insight - subscriber analytics data for cross-sell and upsell opportunities

N2 Reach gives ISPs' network operations, security, customer support and marketing teams a better way to deliver more effective personalized services to subscribers. The suite of products helps service providers around the globe grow their revenue streams, reduce churn and increase market share in highly competitive markets.

"N2 and Vantio work together to deliver personalized experiences to every customer based on their own behaviors and lifestyle," said John Arledge, General Manager of Applications for Nominum. "This creates significant business value for ISPs, moving them from network-centric to subscriber-centric. With better communications and engaging applications providers cement the subscriber bond and become trusted partners with greater client satisfaction and retention."

Nominum will be exhibiting its DNS-powered N2 product suite at Futurecom, taking place in Sao Paulo, Brazil Oct. 26-29, 2015, as a partner exhibitor in the Promon booth. Drop by booth C17 for a demo or to get more information.
