Latin American Minerals Extends Exercise Period for $0.30 Warrants

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 27, 2011) - Latin American Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:LAT) (the "Company") announces that it has received approval from the TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange") for a one year extension for the 4,700,000 outstanding share purchase warrants ("Warrants") issued pursuant to the 10,000,000 unit ("Unit") private placement at a price of $0.15 per Unit completed on October 5, 2009. Each Unit was comprised of one common share of the Company ("Common Share") and one-half of one Warrant. Each full Warrant is exercisable for one Common Share at an exercise price of $0.30 per Common Share. The Warrants were due to expire on October 5, 2011.

The new expiry date of the Warrants is October 5, 2012.
