Laudville Adds Technology Advisor to Board of Directors

Gene Chuang Brings Experience From Yahoo, AT&T, Oversee.net and MuckerLab

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 11, 2013) - Laudville, an entertainment platform for sharing and discovering entertainment with friends, has appointed technology luminary Gene Chuang to its board of directors.

Chuang is a leading engineer having worked for established companies including Yahoo! Search Marketing, YP.com/AT&T Interactive and Chegg. He is also a MuckerLab mentor to startups. He currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at Oversee.net, a $100 million online performance marketing network that connects advertisers with more than 250 million qualified users. He graduated Magna cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles.

"Gene is known for his expertise in mobile, social and search marketing platforms," said Phoebe B. Scott, Laudville CEO and founder. "He's a frequent speaker at tech industry events and has won numerous industry awards. He joins our board at an exciting time, when we've already integrated and begun curating content from iTunes, Hulu, YouTube and Amazon, and we're preparing for a planned mobile launch."

Laudville, which began beta testing in July, is a comprehensive social entertainment platform that provides people-friendly recommendations for online entertainment. Fans can discover, review and share their most loved and least favorite movies, books, music and TV shows with friends. When people ask, "What shall I watch tonight?" Laudville and its community of consumers -- turned tastemakers -- have the answer. Fans can also organize and bookmark entertainment to try later, and find content from multiple sources within a single dashboard.

"I am impressed with the success of Laudville's beta launch and well researched business plan for a mobile launch," said Gene Chuang. "The digital entertainment market is vast and fragmented, and in need of an effective curator to enable discovery and sharing from a single and well connected hub."

Chuang is the second advisor to join Laudville's board this quarter. David Levine, who provides entrepreneurial and angel investing counsel, became a board member earlier this year. David also leads the investment team at Artivest.co, a startup that specializes in curated investments in New York City.
