Launch Announcement: LEED Fellow Jerry Yudelson to Deliver Keynote Speech on Green Building Outside North America at the BUILDINGChicago/Greening the Heartland Conference

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL--(Marketwired - Aug 7, 2013) - Jerry Yudelson, PE, delivers the keynote speech, "What Do They Know That We Don't? Lessons From Beyond the U.S.," on September 11 at the BUILDINGChicago/Greening the Heartland Conference.

One of the first group of LEED professionals to be named a LEED Fellow, and the author of 13 books on green building, Yudelson has keynoted nearly 100 green building conferences in 14 countries. His keynote speech is based on his latest book, The World's Greenest Buildings: Promise vs. Performance in Sustainable Design.

Yudelson spent two years researching the world's notable high-performance green buildings in the countries of Germany, Holland, Australia, Singapore, India and Taiwan. Among the discoveries he will share with conference attendees is how low energy and water use in LEED Platinum buildings is the result of good design and the commitment of builders, owners and designers to achieve best-in-class results.

Yudelson is one of three keynote speakers at the BUILDINGChicago/Greening the Heartland Expo and Conference, to be held September 9-11, at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza. The conference offers more than 65 accredited sessions.

The 10th Annual Midwest Greening the Heartland expo and conference, on September 9-11, is sponsored by the U.S. Green Building Council chapters from the 12 Midwest states. The inaugural BUILDINGChicago expo and conference is owned by Scranton Gillette Communications/SGC Horizon and runs September 10-11.
