Launch of Residential Schools Website at Library and
Archives Canada

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 29, 2005) - Library and Archives
Canada, the Aboriginal Healing Foundation and the Legacy of Hope
Foundation invite the public to the launch a new website entitled "Where
are the Children?" on Wednesday March 30, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at Library
and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa.

The website is a step towards creating an awareness of the effects of
the residential school system on First Nations, Métis and Inuit children
who attended the schools from 1831 to 1996.

A group of Aboriginal drummers and a blessing by an Inuit elder will be
part of the ceremony.

The website www.wherearethechildren.ca will be online starting at 10:00
a.m. on March 30.
