Laurion Announces Intention to Trade on the OTCQX

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 21, 2010) - Laurion Mineral Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:LME)(OTCBB:LMEFF) ("Laurion") is pleased to announce that it has filed an application to list its common shares in the U.S. on the OTCQX tier of the U.S. over the counter-market (the "OTC") under the ticker symbol LMEFF. If Laurion's application is accepted by the OTCQX and trading commences, investors will be able find real-time quotes, disclosure and financial information about Laurion on Laurion's common shares are currently quoted on the Pink Sheets in the U.S. under the symbol LMEFF.

It is expected that Dorsey Whitney LLP will serve as Laurion's Principal American Liaison ("PAL") on the OTCQX and will be responsible for providing guidance to Laurion on its listing requirements.

Laurion's trading on the OTCQX is conditional upon, among other things, acceptance of Laurion's application by the OTCQX, the appointment of a PAL to act on behalf of Laurion and the fulfillment by Laurion of certain other conditions of listing. It is expected that Laurion's application process will be completed within the next few weeks.
