Bibi Berry and David Shapiro Promoted for Notable Reputations, Leadership Positions & Commitment to Community Service


BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwired - May 9, 2016) - Paley Rothman, a full service law firm serving corporate and individual clients throughout the Washington metropolitan area, is pleased to announce the election of Bibi Berry and David Shapiro to Shareholders of the firm, effective May 1, 2016. Berry and Shapiro have worked tirelessly developing their practices since joining the firm in 2005, while simultaneously giving back to the community and taking on leadership positions with the local/state bars.

Berry, a member of the firm's Family Law and Litigation groups, is an aggressive advocate for her clients, having handled hundreds of cases in Maryland and D.C. involving divorce, custody, negotiation of settlement/prenuptial agreements, complex monetary and property disputes, domestic violence actions and other litigation. Berry is the Secretary of the Bar Association of Montgomery County. Shapiro, Chair of the firm's Health Law practice and member of the Corporate and Employment Law groups, has an extensive background representing businesses, healthcare providers, professional service vendors and entrepreneurs with general business, commercial, regulatory and complex transactional matters. In June, Shapiro concludes his second term as a Governor of the Maryland State Bar Association ("MSBA") and will begin his term as Chair of the MSBA Business Law Section, having served as Vice Chair over the last year. He is also a multi-term Member of the Governing Board of the Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center.

Berry earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (2001) and B.A. from Howard University (1995). Shapiro earned his J.D. from Catholic University (1997), and his B.A from the University of Maryland at College Park (1994).
