Lawrenceville Veterinary Hospital Unleashes New Website for Families With Cats and Dogs

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA--(Marketwire - Mar 6, 2012) - Veterinarians of the Russell Ridge Animal Hospital have announced that the AAHA-accredited Lawrenceville veterinary hospital has launched a new website. The new website is designed to provide families with cats and dogs throughout Dacula, Buford, and Suwanee with current information on pet care and medical issues ranging from pet grooming, pet boarding and dental care to pain management for chronic conditions, diet, exercise and safety issues. Visitors can request appointments, fill out forms and interact with the clinic staff in several ways through the website.

Lawrenceville veterinarian Dr. Brad Miller is eager for families with cats and dogs in the area to use their website. "Our entire staff collaborated to collect a wide-ranging library about various pet health conditions, treatment options, preventative care issues and basic pet care information for the families of our patients. We believe that it's critically important for people with pets to understand the steps they can take at home to keep their pets safe and healthy and the new website provides a lot of education that people can access at home whenever they need to."

The "Veterinary Topics" menu on the right panel of each page on the site contains the library of articles about everything from pet dental care to animal pain management, as well as a collection of short video news clips on a variety of conditions that affect pets.

The families of patients who visit the veterinary hospital, which also provides pet grooming and pet boarding services, can also sign up for access to the "Member Topics" area of the website, located just under the "Veterinary Topics" menu. Registration for this area is free, and it includes enrollment in the clinic's pet wellness program, which focuses on preventative care. Members can also access the newsletter library, more pet videos and an area that provides learning games, puzzles and coloring pages for kids.

The veterinarians also point out several features that they hope will save people time when they bring their pets into the office. Under the "New Patient Center" tab at the top, for example, patients can download and print various patient forms at home using Adobe Reader. According to the veterinary hospital, having people fill out the new patient and surgical information packet materials at home saves pet owners time while in the office. Visitors can also set up appointments online, either for routine visits with the veterinarian, or also for pet grooming and pet boarding services.

Dr. Miller stated, "Our new pet health blog is also a great place for pet owners to learn more about the latest developments in veterinary medicine and our services. People can comment, ask questions and discuss the issues directly with us and other pet owners. I hope the new website will help us help our area pets live longer, healthier lives with their families." The new website is located at
