Le Choeur de la radio de Radio-Canada welcomes Natalie Choquette

Attention: Arts/Entertainment Editor MONTREAL, QUEBEC, MUSICAL EVENT--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 16, 2006) - Le Chœur de la radio de Radio-Canada presents its Christmas concert « Angelus Aeterna » at the Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal on Saturday, December 2nd at 8 p.m.

This event launches the « Concerts Invitation » series hosting as its first guest star internationally renowned soprano Natalie Choquette, equally celebrated for her vocal qualities as for her highly unconventional performances.

Accompanied by the Choeur, Madame Choquette will sing extracts from the repertoire of her two latest CDs, Aeterna and Aeterna Romantica. Aeterna Celesta, last of the trilogy, has been released November 14th.

In addition to this program designed to delight Madame Choquette's admirers, the Choeur will interpret British composer John Rutter's much acclaimed Magnificat, a major work of 20th century sacred music.

Founded in 1990 by Radio-Canada employees, the Choeur has since grown to include singers from all walks of life. The musicality and sensitivity of its performances, enjoyed by connoisseurs and laymen alike, make it one of Quebec's best vocal ensembles.
