Leader Energy Services Announces Cementing Services Team

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 7, 2005) - Rod Hauser, President and CEO of Leader Energy Services Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:LEE) ("Leader" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the following key additions to its Cementing Services division.

Leader has put in place a team that will be focused on penetrating and rapidly developing its position in the Alberta cementing market. As of November 1, 2005 Leader has raised more than $50 million to invest in new equipment and facilities. Cementing services will be commercially available in 2006. The Company will initially construct 12 cementing units (5 twins and 7 singles), 15 bulk trailers, three permanent blending facilities and auxiliary equipment. Units will operate from locations in Grande Prairie, Red Deer and Brooks, Alberta. This initiative will mark the first new entrant into the Canadian oilfield cementing industry in almost 10 years.

The Leader Cementing Services team represents a significant depth of experience coupled with a demonstrated track record of building and expanding profitable cementing companies.

Jeff Melnyk - Vice President Operations and General Manager, Cementing Services

Mr. Melnyk started his career with Slurry Cementers in 1983 and moved to Sanjel Corporation in 1990 where he progressed from Cementing Supervisor, to Peace River Station Manager and ultimately Technical Sales and Cementing Sales Manager in Calgary. He was instrumental in the development of product and procedure manuals as well as the creation of many leading edge blends and additives. He has supervised and executed a wide variety of cementing jobs exceeding 4,000 meters in challenging environments. Mr. Melnyk joined Leader in March 2005 and will be overseeing all aspects of the cementing division including staffing, equipment construction and technical sales.

Beerd Beekman - Vice President Engineering and Operations Manager, Cementing Services

Mr. Beekman received his B.Sc. Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1993 and spent the following nine years with Sanjel Corporation managing all aspects of pumping services including Critical Well Team Manager, and providing technical direction and allocation of financial resources. Prior to joining Leader, Mr. Beekman was employed by Trican Well Service as Technical Specialist, Cementing, where he designed treatments and provided technical support and supervision on location for high-technology jobs, including those exceeding 4,000 meters in depth. His experience includes coiled tubing, nitrogen pumping and acidizing services. Mr. Beekman will focus on establishing the laboratory, blend development and technical sales.

Randy Scott - Station Manager, Cementing Services (Brooks)

Mr. Scott began his career in 1979 with NOWSCO Well Service and remained with all successor companies prior to joining Leader. He assumed progressive levels of responsibility and authority, including Cement Line Manager and Field Supervisor for BJ Services' Cementing Service Line. His experience includes operating cementing, acidizing and fracturing equipment from western Manitoba to northern British Columbia and the southern Northwest Territories. Mr. Scott managed a cementing district that included 18 cementing units, 18 bulkers, auxiliary equipment, and personnel.

Robert Oliver - Station Manager, Cementing Services (Grande Prairie)

Mr. Oliver has 20 years of oilwell servicing experience in northern Alberta. He started his career in 1986 with Slurry Cementers and moved to Sanjel Corporation in 1990 to assume the position of Cementing Supervisor where he progressed to General Manager of their Grande Prairie station. He supervised all services provided from this location including cementing, fracturing, acidizing, nitrogen and coiled tubing. He supervised and executed cementing jobs 4,000 meters and deeper, artesian well kills, lost circulation plugs and abandonment jobs.

Wayne Rimbey - Station Manager, Cementing Services (Red Deer)

Mr. Rimbey started his career in 1979 with Slurry Cementers and moved to Sanjel Corporation in 1987 to assume the position of Cementing Supervisor. He progressed to Station Manager in Lac La Biche and subsequently Edmonton. His experience includes electronic data acquisition and working as a cementing laboratory chemist.

Although the oilfield services labour market is very competitive, Leader is encouraged by the overwhelming response it has received to its advertisements to properly staff the new cementing division.

Leader provides essential field services for oil and gas well stimulation from locations in Grande Prairie, Red Deer and Hinton, Alberta. Leader supplies coiled tubing and flameless nitrogen pumping services as well as other flameless equipment and services and will begin providing cementing services in 2006.
