Leader in Diagnostic Imaging Exchange Showcased at RSNA 2006

Hx Technologies Chosen to Educate and Demonstrate the Benefits of Health Information Exchange at the World's Largest Medical Meeting

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 14, 2006 -- Hx Technologies, Inc. (HxTI), a leading provider of radiology utilization management solutions and health information exchanges, today announced that its pioneering role in building, operating, and researching the benefits of cross-enterprise imaging exchanges will be prominently featured throughout RSNA 2006, the 92nd annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America. Held November 26 through December 1 in Chicago, the RSNA annual meeting is the world's largest medical meeting, hosting over 60,000 attendees from around the world.

As national interest surges in health information exchange and regional health information organizations (RHIOs), this year's RSNA meeting in Chicago is a watershed event for learning about the many dimensions of cross-enterprise imaging exchange. HxTI will be featured in several RSNA-sponsored venues throughout the week including:

-- Image Sharing Demonstration - HxTI's Philadelphia Health Information
Exchange, the nation's first network for sharing diagnostic imaging between
rival healthcare providers, will be on display as the first regional
network to implement Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise's (IHE's)
standards-based plug-and-play approach to sharing imaging data between
enterprises. The demonstration highlights the functionality of HxTI's
iHistory® platform for health information exchange and the unique
collaboration between historical rivals, the University of Pennsylvania
Health System and Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals (All week, IHE
Pavilion, Lakeside Learning Center, Hall D)
-- Scientific Presentation - HxTI founder and CEO, Dr. Elliot Menschik,
will deliver a talk entitled "Do You Know Where Your Patient Was Imaged
Last?" Dr. Menschik will present the first findings on the extent to which
patients move between competing imaging facilities, scattering relevant
clinical data out of reach across multiple sites and causing duplicative
imaging utilization. (Monday, November 27, 10:30am, Room S403A)
-- Continuing Medical Education (CME) - Dr. Menschik has also been
selected to lecture on the benefits of regional imaging exchanges for
practicing radiologists. This CME class will focus on imaging exchange as
a competitive differentiator, safety and quality enhancer, and driver of
revenue for radiology practices. (Monday, November 27, 11:45am,
Informatics Classroom, Lakeside Learning Center, Hall D)
-- Education Exhibit - Hx Technologies has been selected by RSNA to
display an educational exhibit entitled "Open Standards for Radiology
RHIOs: IHE XDS-I and the Philadelphia Health Information Exchange."
Attendees can learn more about the first deployment of IHE image sharing
protocols in a live health information exchange (All week, Exhibit Space
Number: LL-IN3128, Lakeside Learning Center, Hall D)

"We're delighted by the recognition of our pioneering role in this new frontier for diagnostic imaging and welcome the opportunity to share our expertise and experiences with the radiology community," said Menschik. "Imaging exchange has tremendous potential to both increase the quality of care and contain its cost. RSNA is the ideal setting to introduce these benefits and present the cutting-edge work that has emerged from our ongoing research collaborations with some of the nation's leading imaging providers."
