Leading Analyst Firm Lists Cybermation in Hype Cycle Report; Cybermation Selected as an Example Vendor for IT Workload Automation Broker

MARKHAM, Ontario--(CCNMatthews - Aug 16, 2005) -

Cybermation, a leading developer of enterprise job scheduling and software change management solutions, today announced that it has been cited by Gartner as an example vendor in the IT Workload Automation Broker category, previously named Event-Driven Job Scheduling. The report defines IT Workload Automation Broker as tools that provide batch application integration capabilities to automate straight-through processing requirements based on events, workloads and schedules. They also manage dependencies across applications and infrastructure platforms, both within and between companies.

The report cites, "Mature technologies, such as traditional job schedulers and event and network monitoring tools, are delivering some practical benefits. We see emergence of new technologies such as IT workload automation brokers, as well as improved visibility of real-time infrastructure."(1) The report also gives the IT Workload Automation Broker category a high benefit rating stating, "These types of tools will have a big impact on end-to-end automation and will be the initial stages of implementing the service governor concept of real-time infrastructure."(2) In the Hype Cycle report Gartner identified that capabilities such as Web services, Java messaging services, and business component events are only now emerging.

"As the fastest growing and largest focused vendor of enterprise job scheduling solutions, we are pleased to be selected," said Ray Nissan, CEO of Cybermation.
