Leading Analyst Firm Lists IBM in "Leader Quadrant" for Data Center Outsourcing in Western Europe

IBM Listed in Leader Quadrant on "Ability to Execute" and "Completeness of Vision"

PARIS -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 18, 2005 -- IBM today announced that analyst firm Gartner, Inc. has positioned IBM in the "Leader" quadrant in its Magic Quadrant research note for Data Centre Outsourcing in Western Europe, 4Q04. According to Gartner, Leaders are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.

The Magic Quadrant helps buyers look beyond price and technical skills when choosing a supplier of data center outsourcing services. Gartner analysts use a combination of evaluation criteria to provide a comprehensive framework for analyzing a vendor's capability to deliver across Europe.
