Hydro Ottawa Implements Agreement Express to Automate the Enrollment Process for Their Pre-Authorization Payment Programs

Hydro Ottawa implemented Agreement Express, Recombo's contract management software to automate the enrollment process for their pre-authorized payment plan programs.

Hydro Ottawa engaged Recombo to assist in managing the reduction of paper involved in their pre-authorized payment plan programs. Their main focus was providing an automated, self-serve option for their customers, in addition to improving their business processes; including reducing the amount of paper and freeing up some resources to support other business processes.

Registration for one of Hydro Ottawa's pre-authorized payment plan programs was a resource-intensive process, encompassing not only new enrollments but also account changes and program withdrawals. With upwards of over four hundred new enrollments per month taking an average of five to ten minutes to process, the effort was significant, consuming not only human but also paper resources.

Agreement Express' flexible and customizable software platform enabled the development of a bilingual solution for Hydro Ottawa. Customers can select English or French as their preferred language in the customer portal and receive all program enrollment information in their desired language.

As a result of implementing Agreement Express, Hydro Ottawa has experienced significant improvements in both operational savings and business productivity. Automating the pre-authorization enrollment process has eliminated the occurrence of missing information and reduced delays in processing time. Prior to Agreement Express customers submitting paper-based enrollments that were incomplete or missing void checks, had to be mailed a form letter requesting them to re-submit missing information. Agreement Express has eliminated the potential for inaccurate information being entered into the customer information system. Customer service agents are no longer struggling to read people's handwriting, thus reducing the level of frustration, and allowing them to complete their tasks without interruption.
