Leading Medical Device Manufacturer Chooses Zenprise to Manage Mission-Critical iPad & iPhone Deployment

Conceptus Inc. Deploys Zenprise to Ensure Consistent, Reliable and Secure Access to Enterprise Data and Applications on Fleet of More Than 500 Multi-Platform iPhone and iPad Devices

FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - November 9, 2010) - Zenprise, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise mobile management and mobile device management software, today announced that Conceptus Inc. (NASDAQ: CPTS), a leader in the design, development and marketing of innovative solutions in women's healthcare, will use Zenprise's MobileManager platform to manage the security of more than 500 mobile devices, including the Apple iPad and iPhone.

In addition to its current fleet of 300 smartphones, Conceptus recently deployed 200 iPads to its sales and service personnel across the country. The iPads will enable Conceptus' sales force to easily and quickly deliver customer presentations onsite. The devices will also be used to connect remotely to the company's CRM application to log and manage sales and customer interactions.

"We needed a solution like Zenprise to manage and secure our mobile environment, both today and into the future -- no matter what type of device or platform we choose to adopt," said Eric Simmons, director of IT operations and ERP solutions at Conceptus. "For our remote workers, their mobile devices ensure they have secure access to the content and applications they need wherever they are. Being able to protect and secure our valuable data without compromising our employees' end user experience was a critical requirement for a healthcare organization like ours."

The IT department will use Zenprise to gain visibility into device, carrier, infrastructure and Exchange issues on its iPads and smartphones and proactively manage the security of these devices remotely. Employees can use Zenprise's self-help capabilities to activate devices, reset passwords, check mailbox quota information and perform other common tasks on their own.

"It can be both challenging and time consuming to troubleshoot smartphone issues remotely but with Zenprise we're able to connect to and view our remote employees' device screens and remediate many of the common technical issues no matter what device they're using," said Jeff Letasse, vice president, information technology and business systems at Conceptus. "This has helped us to keep productivity up and reduce support costs significantly."

Zenprise was the first mobile management software provider to announce support for the Apple iPad. In addition to iOS devices like the iPad and iPhone, Zenprise also supports BlackBerry, Google Android, Windows Mobile, Windows Phone and HP Palm OS platforms.

"Consumer adoption of iPads has been tremendous -- more than 3 million sold in the first 80 days alone -- and now we're seeing increasingly more enterprises leverage the computing power and convenience of these mobile computing devices," said Ahmed Datoo, vice president of marketing, Zenprise. "The definition of a mobile device is rapidly evolving and the security of tablet computing devices need to be managed just like other network assets."

Zenprise's extensive list of more than 400 global customers spans a cross-section of countries and vertical industries including: Comcast, Boeing Corporation, Shook Hardy & Bacon LLP, Varian Medical Systems and Vodafone.
