Leading Network for Growth Professionals Acquires Original Growth Hackers Conference

GrowthHackers.com Will Use Conference to Bring Today's Leading Growth Hackers Under One Roof

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - November 11, 2015) - GrowthHackers, the leading network of growth professionals, announced today that it has acquired the GrowthHackers Conference to bring today's leading growth hackers under one roof.

Originally launched in 2012 by Gagan Biyani (CEO of Sprig) and Erin Turner (Head of Product for YouTube Consumer Music) the GrowthHackers Conference brings growth leaders under one roof for a single day to discuss what is required to develop a high-performance growth team and program across the disciplines of product, design and marketing. Prior to today's acquisition, GrowthHackers.com also ran a successful growth conference in London, UK in 2014.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Growth hacking expands a company's customer base by using a process of rapid experimentation across the full customer funnel, from external acquisition channels to customer retention and monetization. Every experiment is analyzed to understand its impact on scalable growth and learning is applied to improve the quality of future growth experiments. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Airbnb, Uber and Dropbox are all companies that use growth hacking techniques. Growth hacking typically proves more scalable and cost effective than a traditional marketing approach.

"Most every company in every industry needs to grow in order to survive, especially in this business environment," said GrowthHackers CEO, Sean Ellis, who originally coined the term Growth Hacking in 2010. "By combining forces with the original GrowthHackers Conference we will create the preeminent growth conference -- bringing together the sharpest minds in growth to share their expertise and evolving techniques for unlocking growth."

The combined conferences will be known as "The GrowthHackers Conference." Growthhackers.com also announced today that the next GrowthHackers Conference is planned for February 18, 2016 in Silicon Valley's Redwood City, California. Further details about the conference can be found here. Biyani and Turner will remain producers of the conference and will participate as speakers.
