Leading Wine Negociant Cameron Hughes Launches Newly Redesigned Retail Website Invests in Custom-Built eCommerce Store to Enhance Shopping Experience

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2013) -   With a newly redesigned website at, popular négociant Cameron Hughes Wine provides a multi-channel approach to wine shopping for consumers. One of the most exciting aspects of the new site is the customized Magento Web cart, which gives the brand unprecedented ability to interact with customers and provide a positive brand experience.

"Our website is a window to our company soul -- from the features and functionality to customer service, our goal is for our customer to have an awesome, easy experience," said Jessica Kogan Hughes, Cameron Hughes Wine co-founder and chief marketing officer. "The new site is designed to deliver a world-class experience from content to checkout, our unifying goal is to personify the delight of our wines in the experience of our site."

The refreshed website is also complete with detailed information about each of the more than 400 wines released by Cameron Hughes. For wines currently available, customers can search by awards, region, pairing recipes, media opinion, customer reviews and by their own personal preferences, like flavor, varietal, vintage, style and price. New data algorithms give returning customers personalized recommendations based on previous purchases. The new wine locator function on the global navigation makes it easy to find Cameron Hughes Wine at local stores.

While Cameron Hughes Wines are available at retail stores nationwide, the Web store provides the largest selection of at least 50 different wines at any given time. Extremely small but highly sought-after lots are offered exclusively online, such as Lot 374 2007 Maremma Toscana and Lot 369 2009 Côtes de Nuits-Villages.

"We have always placed a value on building a strong Web presence -- it is a critical intersection for both our customers and retailers to feel connected to us and our wines," says Cameron Hughes. "We selected Vonnda, a San Francisco-based Web design and development firm, to overhaul our design and lead the ecommerce platform switch to Magento. I believe they are the first in our industry to program the Magento platform to ShipCompliant."

"Outside the wine industry, most developers don't grasp the complexity of compliance required in customizing any ecommerce system for online wine sales," said Richard Fowler, Vonnda founder. "Wine companies now have a choice outside the traditional SaaS providers which have prevented wine companies from delivering a more user-centered experience. Integrating ShipCompliant and Magento creates an unbeatable combination to improve sales, SEO and provide critical data for better CRM."
