Lean Construction Institute Introduces New Members-Only Lean Implementation Resources

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwired - Mar 31, 2015) -  Lean Construction Institute has published a new library of members-only resources to facilitate Lean construction implementation, available online at www.leanconstruction.org. These materials further the organization's mission to eliminate waste through project lifecycles and increase construction industry demand and capacity for Lean and Integrated approaches.

LCI's new online members-only resources include:

  • Last Planner® System
This set of documents was produced by the LCI Standards Committee to help members with Last Planner® implementation. Last Planner® is a production planning system designed to produce predictable work flow and rapid learning in programming, design, construction and commissioning of projects. Last Planner® was developed by Glenn Ballard and Greg Howell. LCI licenses the use of these processes to various organizations, including most recently the Associated General Contractors of America.

  • Knowledge Transfer Learning Library
This set of 23 papers was collected from over 15 lean construction practitioners, offering their professional perspective and advice on Lean implementation. These papers are intended to introduce the many learning topics necessary to help project teams and organizations progress along their Lean journey.

"We are excited to share these invaluable resources with our members, which we believe outline the best knowledge available in the industry today," said Dan Heinemeier, executive director. "For construction firms who are not currently LCI members, access to these materials would be an excellent justification to join now."

About the Lean Construction Institute: LCI is a non-profit organization created in 1997.
