Leapstone Systems Software Release Bolsters Service Providers' Digital Content Merchandising Business

CCE Content and Service Delivery Platform Enhances BSS/OSS Operations

SOMERSET, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 7, 2007 -- Leapstone Systems, a leading provider of service delivery and content management solutions, today announced availability of its latest generation software, with enhancements designed to facilitate the transformation of converged services providers into agile merchandisers of digital content.

Release 8 of the Leapstone Communications Convergence Engine (CCE), the company's flagship product offering, incorporates new features that enable converged service providers to improve back-office operations that simplify the packaging, marketing and targeting of their offers across multiple screens accessed via TV, PCs or mobile devices. Moreover, the software improves the provider's ability to pinpoint offerings by linking customer history, geography and demographic data with promotional tie-ins and user-relevant advertising, including physical products from third parties.

"The relatively low cost of entry for new direct-to-subscriber marketers of converged services has put a priority on BSS/OSS capabilities," said Jennifer Smith Byers, Leapstone's vice president-sales and marketing. "Marketers of digital services need to emulate successful brick and mortar retailers with sophisticated back office support systems. The complex variations of personalization, scope of content and delivery platforms call for a highly scalable IT solution for cost-effectively managing the life cycle of content and services in next generation networks."

The latest Leapstone CCE features these key enhancements:

-- Easier unified digital storefront implementation across 3 screens (TV,
PC and mobile device), presenting comprehensive subscriber features and
    targeted advertising.

-- Cross-platform offer capability with links to mobile and broadband
channels to increase usage. (Example: "Artist of the week" bundle includes
popular music video for viewing on TV, PC or mobile device).

-- Improved video content packaging like dynamic content catalog, off-
net merchandise bundling, affiliate tie-in and cross-domain bundles
that make better use of location, demographics and usage patterns. The
wide array of available criteria, drawn from demographic data, usage
and content selection history can be better leveraged for targeted
promotions that offer related content at specific discounts. (Example:
DreamWorks SKG special -- 15% discount on any movie; Buy "Shrek" and
get another video on demand @50% discount; or 35% discount on
"Christmas Movie" upon purchase of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas").

-- Flexible payment options and processing through "Pay Now" and "Pay
Later" choices among multiple payment choices.

-- New advertising management capabilities to boost sales, with
targeted context-based storefront advertising of both digital and
physical goods. (Examples: Promote Halloween costume along with horror
movie content listing; create promotional tie-ins to other seasonal or
sporting events like holiday specials, FIFA World Cup™ or Olympics
promotions; or offer free video on demand with front- and back-end ad
    sponsorships).

-- Enhanced service area management for emergencies, as mandated in the
U.S. This includes support for Federal Information Processing Standard
(FIPS) codes required for the broadcast of Emergency Alert System (EAS)
notices during weather-related and other public warnings/emergencies.

-- Improved alternate programming management enables near real-time
intake and processing of blackout restrictions set by certain sports
networks, with rapid local or alternative program substitution.
