Learfield Acquires GoVision

Company Adds Best-in-Class Mobile, Modular LED Display Firm

PLANO, TX--(Marketwired - June 30, 2016) - Learfield has taken another step to expand its range of services to sports and entertainment partners with the acquisition of GoVision -- a leading provider of state-of-the-art mobile and modular LED video technology to many of the country's major sports, concerts, and racing events. Today's announcement was made jointly by Learfield President and CEO Greg Brown and GoVision Founder and CEO Chris Curtis.

"GoVision is a terrific company with an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit," said Brown. "The services and equipment they provide help bring events to life and it will be a fantastic addition to capabilities we can provide our partners."

The transaction, the terms of which are confidential, takes effect immediately. The company will continue to operate under the GoVision name and brand, and all current employees will remain with the firm. Curtis will report to Learfield COO Marc Jenkins.

"We have long admired the relationships Learfield has cultivated throughout college athletics and in the business community," said Curtis. "This is a great day for GoVision and our employees and customers. With Learfield's help, we will be well-positioned to greatly expand the award-winning services we provide our clients, delivering unrivaled experiences."

Notably, GoVision recently completed a breath-taking installation of the world's largest outdoor, permanent, center-hung digital display, dubbed "Colossus," for Panasonic and the Bristol Motor Speedway, site of college football's September 10 Pilot-Flying J Battle at Bristol featuring Tennessee and Virginia Tech. Argyle, Texas-based GoVision was founded in 2002 and has evolved into a premier, full-service provider of large-scale LED video displays and related services, including production, creative content, custom design, fabrication and installation. Its cutting-edge technologies and services currently are being integrated into nearly 1,000 major sporting events, concerts, festivals and corporate events around the world.

"Many of our schools and other partners organize and stage huge events every week and our new association with GoVision will equip us and our clients with the ability to add excitement and new entertainment capabilities to these incredible games and events," noted Jenkins.

Glaucon Capital Partners acted as GoVision's financial advisor for the transaction.
