Lebanon Dental Implant Clinic Hires New Insurance Coordinator

LEBANON, TN--(Marketwired - January 31, 2015) - Dr. Russell Kirk, a leading Lebanon dental implant dentist and oral surgeon, has hired a new insurance coordinator with experience in the dental field.

Haley West joined the staff at Tennessee Implant & Oral Surgery in October 2014. She is a registered dental assistant familiar with treatment plans and a variety of dental procedures.

Dr. Kirk said West already has been an asset for patients looking to build their treatment around their insurance plans.

"Haley has taken on an essential role in our practice," Dr. Kirk said. "She does everything she can to maximize the patient's available benefits. Her experience in dentistry makes her a great addition to the team and a great person for patients to speak with about their dental care."

Tennessee Implant & Oral Surgery offers wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, bone grafts, soft-tissue grafts, biopsies, IV sedation and general anesthesia. The practice specializes in dental implants, including immediate-load implants like All On Four dental implants. Dr. Kirk and his staff work in a 2,800-square-foot facility located on the University Medical Center campus. The state-of-the-art office includes an iTero digital scanner and cone beam CT scanner, both of which are used for the placement of dental implants.

Dr. Kirk is a Union City, Tenn., native who graduated from Obion County Central High School in 1985. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee-Martin in 1990 before graduating with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1994. During his last year of dental school, Dr. Kirk received a Health Professions Scholarship.

Following graduation, Dr. Kirk served in the United States Navy. He completed his General Practice Residency from the Navy in 1995 and then became Dental Officer and the Department Head for Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Four Zero. He completed deployments to Guam, Bosnia and Spain, and fulfilled his active duty obligation in 1997. In 1998, Dr. Kirk earned his Fellowship in Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine from Johns Hopkins Hospital. He received his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2002 from the University of Tennessee Regional Medical Center in Memphis.

Dr. Kirk closed his private practice in 2005 after being called to active duty, during which he served at the United States Military Hospital in Kuwait as the staff oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He re-opened his Lebanon, Tenn., office in 2006 and opened a second location in Mount Juliet, Tenn., the following year.

Dr. Kirk continues to serve in the United States Navy Reserve, and in June 2013, he was promoted to the rank of captain.
