Lectra's Anastasia Charbin, Product Manager of Design Solutions will welcome industry experts Francine Nadeau, Director of Public Affairs for Cegep Marie-Victorin as well as Mr. René St-Amant, President of the Chemise Empire, a leading Canadian manufacturer of uniform, military, dress and specialty shirts. The presentations will address how Lectra's technologies assist businesses with their growing demands and why leading retailers and brand manufacturers are currently investing in technology and talent in today's economy. About Cégep Marie-Victorin

Marie-Victorin College was founded in 1965 by six religious congregations. Shortly after, the institution became a private college providing general education and professional training. In 1972, the Fashion Design department was created. In 1993, Marie-Victorin College changed status and became public, making them the first college offering the following Fashion Design programs: Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising. At the same time, the Fashion Design program offered a specialization in fur design with an internship in Denmark. Marie-Victorin College recently announced in October 2010 that the Minister of Education, Leisure and Sports authorized the establishment to start a College Center for the Transfer of Technology in the Apparel Sector (CCTT). The CCTT will work around 5 axes: Research and innovation, technological development, support and training and continuous development. The CCTT is backed by a recurring grant of $150,000 over the three years of operation. Additional grants for innovation and advancements will be possible through the Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Exportation of Quebec. "This is a very interesting venture for us and we are very happy to intensify our contribution in the development for the Fashion industry in Montreal. We have an incredible chance to create privileged partnerships in the Fashion industry.
