MISSION, KS--(Marketwired - Nov 19, 2013) - Xact Data Discovery (XDD), a leading international provider of discovery and data management services for law firms, corporations and government agencies, announced today Shannon Mickelson is the company's new director of sales and operations for its Minneapolis and St. Paul offices. Mickelson brings additional leadership to XDD's Twin Cities team to support the company's continued growth and investment in the electronic discovery business.
Minneapolis is a key location for XDD, as the company has achieved significant growth in the local market over the past year. XDD's director of forensic services, Scott Polus, is based in Minneapolis and leads a team of XDD experts locally and nationally who are certified to do forensic data collections.
A veteran of both the local and regional legal support services markets, Mickelson brings to XDD a wealth of knowledge and experience that positions her to impact XDD's growth in Minneapolis and the greater region. Her most recent role in the legal industry was as general manager of Esquire Litigation Solutions' local Minneapolis office, where she reorganized and managed its new litigation solutions office startup. Prior to Esquire, she spent time as the branch manager of Todays Legal Staffing, before which she worked as an independent consultant for more than five years. Other legal experience includes her role as executive director with Special Counsel and as an employment litigation case manager with both the law firm of Oppenheimer, Wolff & Donnelly in St. Paul and Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing (3M).
In her new role with XDD, Mickelson is responsible for all sales and operations activities for the XDD Minneapolis and St. Paul offices. She oversees implementation of strategic and operational plans to achieve overall performance goals and is tasked with identifying and driving performance improvements to service and production quality while increasing operational initiatives. Mickelson joined XDD in October.
Mickelson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamline University. Mickelson held the assistant director position with the local Women in e-Discovery chapter for two years and has been a member of the WieD Community Services Committee for the past six years.
