Lehigh Technologies Announces Final Four in Multi-Facility Expansion

Company Search for Two New Plant Sites Narrowed to Four States

NAPLES, FL--(Marketwire - December 13, 2007) - Lehigh Technologies, Inc., a leading manufacturer of engineered rubber powder, today announced it has narrowed its search for sites to build two new production facilities to locations in four states. The new plant sites are part of Lehigh's effort to triple production capacity of its ultra-fine rubber powder. The company is moving aggressively in the final selection process and hopes to announce the location of its two new plant sites by early 2008.

"We continue to see great demand for our ultra-fine rubber powder across the tire, plastics, carpet, coatings and other industrial manufacturing industries. As we look to meet our demand, we need to expand our production facilities and open two new plants next year," said Anthony Cialone, founder and COO of Lehigh. "We're thrilled to be in the home stretch in selecting our plant destinations. The final four states are aggressive in helping to bring new economical and environmental products to market. Their commitment to clean technology and products that take on environmental sustainability is great, making them terrific candidates as we increase the volume of our rubber powder."

Lehigh executives have narrowed down the location of the plants to four states including Alabama, California, North Carolina and Tennessee. Each site will employ up to 75 to 100 skilled workers and the facilities that Lehigh will build/operate will be approximately 120,000 square feet. The company already has one plant in Tucker, Georgia, and plans to break ground for its second plant in early 2008, with the third plant to follow shortly thereafter. Once completed, Lehigh will have the ability to deliver more than 300 million pounds of its engineered rubber powder to manufacturers across the automotive, rubber, plastics and other polymer product based industries.

The Staubach Company, a market leading global real estate advisory firm, continues to lead the search for the sites of two new plants and will help each selected community reap the economic benefits of new industry.

William A. Frontera, Director of Site Selection for Lehigh, expanded by stating, "Much of today's business focus is on increasing the 'greenness' of products and services. Lehigh is helping the move towards environmental sustainability by providing manufacturers with an alternative to high-cost, pollutant-creating petroleum products. As Lehigh continues in its efforts, the company will be opening the doors to new job creation and pushing forward industrial growth while maintaining environmental integrity."

Lehigh's production facility in Tucker, Georgia, requires no air, water, or solid waste permits and emits no greenhouse gases (GHG). Lehigh also offers manufacturers a closed loop program alternative, helping to create a "zero waste to the landfill" environment and bolstering the industry's "green" footprint.
