Lehigh Technologies Expands Rubber Supply Options Through Partnership With RDH Tire & Retread Co.

Lehigh Taps Into Two Discrete Sources of Rubber to Deliver Highest Quality Rubber Powder

NAPLES, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 20, 2007 -- Lehigh Technologies, Inc., a leading manufacturer of engineered rubber powder, today announced a new partnership with RDH Tire & Retread Co., an industry leader in "Off the Highway" retreading and repairing. With this agreement, RDH will supply Lehigh with natural rubber (NR) and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) buffings, which Lehigh will use to manufacture PolyDyne™, its finely ground engineered rubber powder. By ensuring the source of the rubber feedstock, Lehigh can provide assurances to manufacturers who rely on PolyDyne™ as an additive or modifier that the finely ground rubber powder is of the highest quality and consistency.

RDH will supply Lehigh with buffings and peels from earth mover, OTR and truck tires. Lehigh will then grind these buffings and peels with its patented-technology to produce its ultra-fine rubber powder. RDH is the second company in less than a month to become a discrete rubber supplier for Lehigh's processing efforts.

"Natural rubber is expensive and scarce, but it is a necessary ingredient in many manufacturing applications. SBR rubber is much more economical and can be used to replace natural rubber in most processes. However, the quality of the rubber being used is critical to how it performs," states Anthony Cialone, founder and COO of Lehigh. "With the addition of RDH as a preferred supplier, we are positioned to offer customers a steadfast stock of reliable, fine rubber powder that can be used in today's most highly sophisticated applications."

"We understand the ramifications of what 'bad' and inconsistent feedstock quality can do to a manufacturer. This is why we only partner with those companies that can deliver controlled quality and consistency in their products," said Homer Huskins, Partner of RDH Tire & Retread Co. "We are happy to partner with Lehigh on this initiative. With our feedstocks and Lehigh's patented grinding technology and ISO certifications, Lehigh and its customers can be assured that they have a quality, reliable rubber supply to produce products."
