Leisure Society by Shane Baum Debuts Three Captivating New Styles and Four Brilliant New Colors at MIDO 2011

MILAN, ITALY--(Marketwire - March 4, 2011) - MIDO, Pavilion 24, Booth R10-S10 Leisure Society by Shane Baum today announced three new styles and four new colors to its highly praised collection of eyewear. With a flourish of diamonds, sapphires, and tigers eye, the three new styles -- The Cavallet, The Petite Vallee, and The Casuarina -- up the opulence ante of this already glamorous collection.

Adding to the unique color offerings, Leisure Society also introduces select frames in bold new colors: Silver/Lakeside -- a cerulean-like blue, Silver/Pink, Gunmetal/Black, and Waves of Gold -- a luminous multi-toned gold.

The regularly evolving collection, which originally launched in September 2010, features limited edition heirloom pieces -- each requiring six hours production time -- handmade in Japan. The new styles launched today include:

The Cavallet, inspired by the popular Brighton and Highgate frames, is a mid-size rounded square frame reminiscent of classic Aviators. This unisex style, cast in Titanium and plated in 18 or 12 karat gold, is available in Gold/Brown, Gold/Tortoise, Gunmetal/Black, and Silver/Back and retails for $585-$665 USD.

A mid-size sister to the Neptune, The Petite Vallee offers a smaller B height, allowing a more comfortable fit for petite faces. This ultra chic frame features intricate etching across the top of the frame and includes either diamonds or sapphires on the bridge and each temple. The Petite Valle is available in Silver/Black, Silver/Bone, Silver/Lakeside, and Silver/Tortoise and retails for $750 USD.

The Casuarina is a classic 70's shape with an Ivy League sophistication and a feminine twist. Borrowing etching details from the Neptune and San Torini, this sophisticated frame features gold plated titanium across the top and temples, and either diamonds, sapphires, or tigers eye in the temple. Available in Gold/Brown, Silver/Black, Silver/Lakeside, Silver/Pink, Silver/Tortoise, and Waves of Gold, the Casuarina will retail for $750-$830 USD.

The collection, designed by (CFDA) member Shane Baum, took three years to develop and presently features seven sunglasses and five ophthalmic frames. The continually evolving collection is timeless, intricate, and luxurious. Produced as a limited run of 75 frames per style (only four frames produced per day).
