Lenovo and Integral Ad Science Form Global Partnership to Address Viewability

Lenovo Will Require Media Agencies It Works With to Use Integral Ad Science Data on Advertising Campaigns

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jul 7, 2015) - Lenovo, the world's largest provider of personal computers operating in 160 countries, today announced a global partnership with Integral Ad Science, the leading global provider of actionable advertising intelligence for buyers and sellers of digital media. Lenovo will require each media agency it works with to exclusively use Integral and its data expertise on future Lenovo advertising campaigns.

As a third-party, non-biased media quality data source utilizing advanced technology, Integral allows companies like Lenovo to make smarter, high-quality media buys. Lenovo chose Integral as its exclusive, trusted partner based on Integral's ability to work with Lenovo globally, both with the brand as well as its network of media agencies.

Based on in-market tests, Lenovo drove an improved cadence around media measurability and optimization. Efficiency was achieved in areas such as geographic blocking of ads, improved intra campaign viewability and fraud detection. Initial testing has already shown the improvement of driving up to three-times higher viewability for Lenovo's ad campaigns. In certain regions, blocking out-of-country traffic has been very beneficial to media effectiveness.

Integral has the industry's largest global footprint, making it best equipped to inform global buying and selling decisions. Additionally, Integral's machine learnings get smarter with each impression providing unparalleled education on how to leverage and implement campaigns.

"Lenovo places great importance on making efficient and wise media investments, and our decision to partner with Integral is already showing an increased return on investment," said Gary Milner, director, global digital marketing at Lenovo. "Integral Ad Science's focus on innovative technology that provides the best value for its customers goes hand-in-hand with Lenovo's philosophy."

In addition to using Integral's core valuation platform to inform quality media buys, Lenovo will utilize Causal Impact to measure the success of its advertising campaigns. A proprietary solution to Integral, Causal Impact connects the dots for marketers to identify what ads cause consumers to take action and which media partners are responsible for delivering those ads.

"By partnering exclusively with Integral, Lenovo has access to a holistic view of their campaign performance regionally as well as globally," said Whitney Low, head of client development, Integral Ad Science. "We work closely with Lenovo, providing global insights on campaign performance and status on new market activations on an ongoing basis."
